Songlan Zhou, professor at the International Economics and Trade Department of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, with a PhD in international economics at Wuhan University, is a mentor of graduate students, outstanding member of the “Thousand, Hundred and Ten” project of Guangdong higher educational institutions, member of the board of trustees of Guangdong Academy of Economics, standing member of the board of trustees of Guangdong Research Committee on Emerging Economies, member of the board of trustees of the Division of Practical Technologies and Management Studies of the Chinese Academy of Commercial Economics, member of the board of trustees of the Chinese Academy of Developing Economies.
The focus of her research is regional and industrial economics. With over ninety published dissertations, three books, and multiple research projects, both horizontal and vertical, on national, municipal and city level. She had won the third prize of the Fifteenth Anzijie Dissertation Competition of International Trade Studies, the third prize of Outstanding Works of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Guangdong, the first and second prize in Outstanding Works of Philosophy and Social Sciences in Foshan, and the first prize in the Guangdong University of Finance and Economics’ Writing Competition on Educational Thoughts.
