International students participate in The Sixth Chinese People's Police Day and the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Guangzhou 110 Emergency Call Service

On January 10, 2026, at the invitation of the Exit-Entry Administration Brigade of the Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of our university organized a group of international students to attend the event of The Sixth Chinese People's Police Day and the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Guangzhou 110 Emergency Call Service at the main venue at the Canton Tower.

During the event, under the guidance of Ms. Emma Shi, the international students visited the public security equipment exhibition area. Police officers provided detailed explanations of the functions and application scenarios of the equipment. In addition, students observed practical demonstrations, and even tried on some of the equipment. After that, they experienced the digital services offered by the Exit-Entry Administration Brigade and attended knowledge lectures delivered by police officers on various topics, including anti-scam, online fraud, economic crime investigation, and counterfeit product identification.

Additionally, they visited the booth of the Guangzhou Fire Department's 119 Command Center to learn about fire safety knowledge. Under the guidance of firefighters, they tried out backpack-type spray fire extinguishers and wore fire rescue suits.

By participating in this event, the international students gained a deeper understanding of the work of the police and fire departments in China, developed a deeper comprehension of the concept of a Safe China, and further enhanced their knowledge of and affection for China. The students unanimously expressed that the event was highly meaningful and provided an excellent opportunity to learn about and integrate into China. They pledged to share these important pieces of knowledge and experiences with their classmates and friends around them.
