2023 International Student Conference and Orientation was held

On October 10, 2023, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation held the 2023 International Student Conference and Orientation, aiming to strengthen student management and to provide students guidance to the overview of China, the overview of our university, Chinese rules, regulations and law, as well as Chinese culture, etc. Heads of departments including Office of International Exchange of Cooperation, Youth League Committee, Office of Student Affairs, Graduate School, School of Economics and School of Humanity and Communication(School of Network Communication), teaching staff representative attended this conference. The conference was hosted by Emma Shi, Admission Officer of International students and Section Chief of Office of International Exchange of Cooperation.

The conference started with a big welcome to the Grade 2023 freshmen. Director Wang Yuhui from Office of International Exchange and Cooperation gave a wonderful welcoming speech to the freshmen and students in all grades. 

Also a scholarship commending ceremony was held for 2022 scholarship winners. The scholarship for undergraduate is 10,000RMB per person per year, and for postgraduate students is 20,000RMB per person per year. 

Professor Nie, Dean of School of Economics, and Professor Ma, Dean of School of Humanity and Communication(School of Network Communication) sent regards to all students and their families, and delivered a speech, giving suggestions about their study and life in GDUFE and in China.

Lastly, Emma Shi gave an orientation education lecture to all students, offering clear guidance to help students adapt to new environment, new cultures and new life.
