Bio

Hong Lin is a Professor of Economics, also dean of the School of Economics of GDUFE, where he teaches courses in Statistics and System of National Accounts(SNA). Born in 1958, he received his master degree at Renming University of China in 1989 and PhD at TJUFE in 2010. He previously taught at JXUFE till 1998.

His current research focuses on the Economic statistics, System of National Accounts (SNA) and National happiness statistics. He has focused on several applications with enterprises, including the compilation of GuangSu Index and Textile Price Index. He advises governments on the design and data mining of China Economic Census.

Professor Lin is a member of Guangdong Academic Degree Committee, a member of National Statistical Society of China, an executive member of Statistical Education Society of China and an executive member of Commerce Statistical Society of China. He is also the Vice-president of Systems Engineering Society of Guangdong and the Vice-president of Field Statistical Society of Guangdong.

At GDUFE, Lin teaches a course on Statistics and System of National Accounts(SNA) in the first year postgraduate core. He also advises postgraduate students, and several of his former students are now faculty at leading economics departments and business schools.
