Ding Xia, female, born Dec, 1976, Wuhan city, Hubei province, received her PhD in Economics from the School of Economics &Management; Wuhan University, she is now a lecturer in the Faculty of Economics, Guangdong University of Finance & Economics. She is a director in the Association of Foreign Economics for Three Regions— southwest, northwest and south-central China. Her main research interest is in Western Economics Schools, Methodology of Economics, Marxian Economics and Chinese Insurance History.
She is the lead researcher for a sub-project supported by the Philosophy and Social Society Grand Research Foundation for Ministry of Education of China and a philosophy and social society project of Guangdong Province during “the 12th Five-Year Plan”. She also participated in a major projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China and other national research projects.
Ding Xia published almost thirty papers in many journals and newspapers such as Guangming Daily (Theory Section), Economic Perspectives, Studies on Marxism, Contemporary Economic Research, Contemporary Finance & Economics, Economist and Social Science Research. Her paper, “A Re-research on Marxian Economic Methodology: the Overall Methodology” is reprinted was reprinted by Xinhua Digest. She also edited two monographs.
