2.Brief Course Introduction

This course mainly introduces the concept of criminology, basic problems, forming and development of theoretical system, foreign criminology theory of research approach, Chinese criminology origin and development; definition, behavior and measurement, states and characteristics of crime; the cause of criminality and crime countermeasure; and contents such as types of criminal offence and types of criminal, etc. It aims at helping students find out the basic situation of criminology, possess the background knowledge of criminology tentatively, and use relevant knowledge to carry on the basic scientific research activity or take the valid counter-measures to solve existing problems in practice.
