2.Brief Course Introduction

This curriculum is one of the fourteen core curriculums for undergraduate students of law department which are regulated by Ministry of Education. It mainly introduces the basic theory, the contents and the basic practice of Chinese Criminal Procedure Law, namely, the introduction, development of criminal procedure law, aims and tasks of criminal procedure law, the fundamental principles , jurisdiction, fundamental systems of criminal justice, incidental civil action, fundamental principles of evidence in criminal action, filing case procedure, investigation, prosecution, trial, enforcement and special procedures of criminal procedure law. By learning the course, students can master the fundamental principle, contents of criminal procedure law and the original intention of criminal procedure law. On such basis, they can comprehend the practice and the actuality of criminal procedure law and acquaint themselves with the modes of criminal procedure, theory, and legislation of the main developed countries, in order to gain the sense of justice, have a good mastery of civil procedure law, form the habit of analyzing and solving legal problems by the means of combining theory and practice, which is our aim of education.
