2. Course Introduction 

Statistics is one of the core courses for students majoring in Economics, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, and other fields of business administration. The course introduces the fundamental principles, concepts, and computations of statistics. The content includes: sources, collection and tabulation of data, description of characteristics of data distribution, probability, sampling methods, regressions and correlations, hypothesis testing, time series and index number.
