2.Brief Course Introduction

This is an optional course for students from different departments. Japanese society and culture will be introduced to students systematically. Besides traditional culture such as Sumo, the way of the Samurai and tea ceremony, there is also knowledge about modern cultures such as society system, travel and Japanese food. Further, the background of these culture phenomenon's will be analyzed, so that the students should understand the Japanese sense of value, the Japanese way of acting and thinking. Through learning of this course, students could understand Japan and Japanese more truly, fully and rationally. Also, through the comparison of Chinese and Japanese culture, students could realize that, the relationship of these two countries with less misunderstanding and conflict should have prerequisite condition of communication and generosity. Students could give their help to the friendship between China and Japan, as well as improving their knowledge about society science and the ability of analyzing and interpreting social phenomenon's.
