Tong Yuanzhong

Tong Yuanzhong, born in Changde, Hunan, July 1963, full-professor, Ph.D. in Law, is member of Communist Party of China, vice chairman of Association of Social Works of Guangdong Province, vice chairman of Association of Social Works of Guangzhou, director of Guangzhou Yang Sing Social Works Service Center.

Professor Tong received his B.A. in History from Hunan Normal University in 1984, M.A. in History from Peking University in 2000, and Ph.D. in Marxism Theory and Political Education from Nanjing Political Institute of People’s Libration Army(PLA) in 2005. He was elected a member of College Key Youth Teachers in Hunan province in 1999. In September 2004 he was honored the title of full-professor. Two years later he became a faculty member in Guangdong University of Finance and Economics.

As a distinguished scholar, professor Tong has long been dedicated to work in teaching and researches. He has authored over forty academic papers in journals such as China’s Borderland History and Geography Studies, Science Economy Society, Journal of PLA Nanjing Institute of Politics. He published 2 monographs, and hosted 5 provincial research projects.

Currently his main research interests include social policy and history of Chinese social works.
