2.Brief Introduction

Psychological Research Methods is the basic course of undergraduates who major in psychology. And its main function lies in letting students understand methodology of scientific research on psychology comprehensively and systematically so that they can know its theoretical basics and key methods well and get the rough idea of specific methods, operate procedures and basic steps, all of which in turn lay a solid foundation for psychology majors to do scientific research in the future. Contents of this course mainly include: features of science and scientific research, general process of scientific research, uniqueness of psychological research, and how to choose appropriate research method according to the nature of problems and so on. It talks about application condition and basic features of various research designs covering experiments, quasi-experiments, single-case experiments and relevant researches and descriptive researches. Besides, Psychological Research Methods teaches students how to choose and determine research of problems, how to look up and summarize documents, how to sort out and analyze data and write research reports.
