2. Brief Introduction to the Course
This course is the required course for sociology major and social work major. After learning this course, students can understand and master a general situation since the mid-nineteenth century when sociology found in the west to the contemporary era when western sociology theory develops. It lays emphasis on the introduction to the essence and classics work of theory master in western sociology then students can know the basic viewpoint of famous western sociologists. Moreover, this course provides the effective theory instrument for sociology and related major to understand and analysis society in depth and it can also enlighten students to think and expend their thinking space, thus creating a favorable conditions for them to dialogue with international sociology circles.
