2. Brief Course Introduction:
Modern Chinese is a basic course in college for those whose majors are Chinese Language and Literature, International Chinese Education and so on. The task of this course is to teach basic theories and basic knowledge of modern Chinese systematically, strengthen the training of basic skills, and develop as well as improve the students’ abilities in comprehending, analyzing and using modern Chinese language so that students lay a good foundation for future professions in the fields of language, international education in Chinese, and modern Chinese research. The content of this course mainly includes the following items: phonetics, character, grammar and rhetoric of modern Chinese.
