2. Brief Course Introduction

     Theory of Second Language Acquisition course is a Professional Required Course for those whose major is International Chinese Education. This course mainly teaches students the basic principle and method of second language acquisition, trains them how to deal with the theory research of the phenomena and problem in the process of second language acquisition, and how to apply it into the practical teaching. This course combines theory with practice. The content of this course mainly includes the following: general introduction to the second language acquisition; contrastive analysis and error analysis; inter-language study; study of the order of second language acquisition, Krashen’s Monitor Model for language; study of second language learners’ language system variation; social and cultural model of study SLA; language input and interaction studies; general grammar and SLA; multi-develop model; cognitive model of SLA; reasons in individual diversity of second language learners.
