2. Brief Course Introduction

The subject of Specific Theory and Practice of Financial Management deals with a specialistic analysis of financial management and discusses the specialistic principles and practical skills of financial strategy, M&A, derivative financial instruments, performance evaluation and incentive mechanisms. The first specialistic analysis includes the importance of financial strategy, types of financial strategies and decision made within a financial strategy. The second explains the theory of M&A, valuation of destination firms, takeovers and the defense of takeovers. The third interprets the pricing of derivative instruments and hedging.
