Teaching Objectives
The core content of The industrial organization theory is the analysis of the imperfect competition market. The Industrial organization theory has developed from a small branch of microeconomics as an important part of economics ,corporate finance, organization strategy and marketing or related fields. The main purpose of this course is to make postgraduate students in the study period, on the basis of further deepening understanding of microeconomics in the relevant content, using game theory as an analysis tool, learn about the strategy of interaction between the oligopoly market makers, and the manufacturer's pricing strategy and vertical relations, product differentiation, advertising, to enter and exit, all sorts of non-price strategies such as research and development, study the theory and method of economics to know, analyze and solve problems.
Through learning of on this course, students should have a more clear understanding about a variety of imperfect competition market types , master the ability of using economic tools to analyze the firm behavior model and game theory, understand and master the manufacturer of all kinds of prices and non-price strategies and the relevant antitrust and regulation of the government policy. Strives to make students to:
1. understand the theory of industrial organization discipline development, basic concepts and logical clues and the theoretical frontier;
2. master the main model of industrial organization theory and analysis method, improve the economic thinking ability;
