Teaching Objectives
The purpose of teaching Industry economics is to let students understand the basic knowledge of industry economics and the basic theory of the system, so that the students can master the basic analysis methods of industrial economics, understand the forefront of major theoretical developments, and are familiar with, and use of modern economic analysis tools such as game theory. In particular, highlighting the characteristics of China and economic globalization are the requirements of the industrial economic theory, it is tightly connected with the international standards and combined with practice, absorb and reflect the latest developments in the field of the world industrial economy and the essence, lets the students learn to understand and analyze a nation's industrial structure adjustment and upgrading, such as a general rule in the evolution of the industrial structure, the general rule of industrial structure evolution, etc.), understand the whole system of input and output relationship between industry, at the same time, usage of modern analytical tools (such as a mathematical tool, game theory, etc.) analysis of intra-industry competition relationship between enterprises, and the ability to use learned knowledge to understand and analysis analyze the relevant industrial policy of the country, can provide solutions of confronting problem from two aspects of theory and practice.
Teaching Contents
Industrial economics is the application of economics theory of in modern western economics to analyze the economic problems in reality, it views "industry" as the focus of study, to explore the relationship between the economic development in the industry structure, industry organization structure change rule and method of studying these rules, analysis of internal equilibrium problems in economic development. This course focuses on how to achieve effective development, the rational allocation of industry resources and rational utilization of the center, it spreads according to three main lines of the enterprise, market and government, all content is divided into six parts: industrial organization, industrial structure, industry association, industrial policy, industrial layout and industrial development.
