I. Training Objectives

This major trains student to master the basic theory of radio and television art, to be familiar with the multi-disciplinary knowledge of drama, film and television, literature, journalism and communication, to understand the basic application in finance, politics and law, with broadcasting and hosting skills as the core, based on information collection, editing and planning capabilities, and expanded by film and television performances, online live broadcasts, and creative content production capabilities, with a sense of the times and an international perspective, capable of being competent in radio and television media, film and television companies, new media platforms and major enterprises and institutions are engaged in broadcasting and hosting, film and television performances, webcasting, public relations and other work.

II. Training requirements

1. Knowledge structure requirements: (1) Master the basic theories of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and socialism with Chinese characteristics, and have good humanities and social sciences literacy; (2) Master the basic theories of art, drama, film and television, other related journalism and communication, Chinese language and literature, and be familiar with the basic knowledge of finance, economics, politics and law. Understanding certain knowledge of philosophy, politics, history, culture, economy, society, law, psychology, aesthetics and other disciplines; (3) Master the basic theory and professional knowledge of broadcasting and hosting art, understand the basic and core concepts of the discipline, and establish the core professional consciousness of artistry, journalism and subjectivity.

2. Capability structure requirements: (1) Master standard Mandarin, good broadcasting and hosting vocal skills, language expression skills and creative rules in front of the microphone, be familiar with the characteristics and hosting requirements of news commentary, social education services, variety entertainment and talk shows, and understand the norms and standards of broadcasting and hosting work;(2) After systematic professional training in voice production, language expression, body performance, program hosting, program planning and editing, they have the experience of participating in actual radio and television and new media program planning, editing, broadcasting and hosting. Have the ability of broadcasting and hosting news, variety, social education, talk and other types of programs, as well as the ability of reciting and broadcasting literary and artistic works and dubbing film and television; Familiar with basic communication technology and equipment, with the basic ability of news publicity and reporting, program planning, editing and production; (3) Fully understand the importance of teamwork, also have the ability of indicidual work and teamwork, interpersonal communication and expression, communication skills and certain organizational management skills; (4) Have certain foreign language application ability, be able to read foreign language materials of this major, have certain international vision and cross-cultural communication and cooperation ability;(5) Strong ability to acquire information and knowledge, to analyze and solve problems independently, and to participate in social activities.

3. Quality structure requirements: (1) In terms of professional quality: Familiar with the principles, policies and relevant laws and regulations of the Party and the state on news publicity and reporting, understand the basic requirements of professional ethics in news propaganda, have good professional ethics in journalism, and have a strong sense of social responsibility; At the same time, we should understand the theoretical frontiers and developments in the fields of radio, television, network and other media. Have the quality of media management and product marketing and have certain innovative consciousness and ability in program planning and hosting practice. (2) In the aspect of social quality: love the motherland, care for the collective, respect teachers, love relatives and friends; Establish a positive outlook on life, correct values and dialectical materialist world outlook; Have good moral cultivation and civilized code of conduct; Have a healthy mentality and pragmatic attitude; Have the quality and ability to adapt to the future competition mechanism, expand to a broader professional field and continue learning.
