Management
Management is one of the fundamental courses at financial and economic universities. Through introducing the history of management, social responsibility and ethics in managements, the four functions of management (planning, organizing, leading and controlling), this course will help students understand the basic concepts of management and master management theory and basic analysis method. It can help students apply skills and knowledge to analyze enterprise behavior. Students are also hoped to learn how to become managers. Class hour will be allocated to lectures, in-class discussions, multimedia presentations in support of lectures, and student project presentations. In-class activities will cover textbook-based discussions, after-class further readings, case studies, and so on. By these means, the enthusiasm of the students can be mobilized. They are encouraged to share points of view in class, thus constructing active classroom atmosphere. After class, students are expected to read assignments from the textbook, conduct further reading, participate in the study group discussion, and work individually or on teams with the various project assignments, such as the case study.
