Tourism Aesthetics
Tourism Aesthetics is a specialized elective course for students majoring in hotel management. It is characterized with interdisciplinary involved with the principles of aesthetics, tourism, economics, architecture, psychology and other disciplines, which is conducive to the promotion of economic and social benefits of the tourism industry. On the strength of the current requirements of the integration of cultural and tourism development and combined with relevant knowledge of hotel management, this course follows the requirements of the aesthetic professional quality of tourism hotels, and analyzes the natural landscape, humanistic landscape and corresponding hotel space environment beautification from the aesthetic point of view in the composite overall perspective of hotel managers, designers and customers, with the expectation that students’ aesthetic ability can be systematically cultivated. Furthermore, this course systematically introduces various kinds of tourism and hotel viewing as well as experience resources, and analyzes the aesthetic examples of well-known hotels at home and abroad. For students majoring in hotel management, through the study of this course, they can have a deep understanding of the rich cultural heritage required for travel and accommodation resources and experience. As students majoring in hotel management, they are expected to carry out some innovative thinking on the basis of theoretical learning, which in turn will make a greater contribution to the development of tourism in our country.
