Zou Zhanyong graduated with a doctoral degree of science from the College of Mathematics and Econometrics, Hunan University, majoring in applied mathematics. He is currently an associate professor with the Mathematics and Statistics Institute, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics. He researches computational mathematics and scientific engineering calculation and but also researches macroeconomics. He has taken charge of 6 scientific research projects, which belong to Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund of Ministry of Education and Seedling raising project of Education Department, and 10 research projects, which belong to National Natural Science Foundation of China and Guangdong Natural Science Fund Management Committee. He has published over 20 academic papers and a monographs. He won a second prize of science and engineering in the first College Youth Teachers Teaching Basic Skills Competition of Guangdong, and was awarded the title of Economic and Technical Innovation Expert of Guangdong’ workers in 2012. He has also been elected as the seventh batch of the training objects of Qianbaishi project of Guangdong’ college. He has also been awarded over 10 prizes in the Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, such as the Best Ten Young teachers, Teaching Quality Excellence Award, Three Education Advanced Individual and so on. He has coached many students taking part in Mathematical Contest In Modeling and China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling since 2009, some of whom were awarded more than 40 international, national, provincial awards in total.
