Li Xia is an associate professor and Master’s Supervisor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, Guangzhou, China. From October, 2007 to April, 2008, she worked as a visiting professor in the Department of Mathematics at Tulane University of U.S.A. In 2008, she received a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from College of Mathematics and Computation, Sun Yat-sen University and subsequently worked at Shenzhen University for five years. Since October in 2013, she has been a teacher in Guangdong University of Finance and Economics. Her research interest is mainly partial differential equations, including theory of singular parabolic equation and elliptic equation and applications in Imagery and Biology. She has published many academic papers have been published in some important journals, such as Acta Mathematica Sinica、Acta Mathematica Scientia and Journal of Mathematical Analysis. She has presided and participated in 8 National Natural Science Foundations of China、1 Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province and other city/departmental subject research. In addition, she has been a tutor in many mathematical contests in modelling and other Science competitions.
