2. Brief Course Introduction
Cartography is the science to study the map essence, map making and map application, which is a basic subject in the science of geography. Surveying can provide an important data source for map and understand the basic measurement theory, basic knowledge and basic skills, helping to learn cartography and other branches of geography. The course content includes basic principle of map, map projection, basic theories and application of measurement and surveying, map symbol design, map generalization, digital mapping, thematic mapping and application in various fields of geography.
