Geomorphology is the basic core course for the major of Physical Geography and Recourse Environment. Landform is one of the nature elements of physical geography besides geology, soil, plant, weather and climate. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the systematic study of the basic concepts, theory and method of Geomorphology and its sub discipline. The course could build a solid foundation for the study of other courses of Geography or the students who decide to continue master career. This course will move on to discuss: Process and form: landforms resulting from, or influenced by, the exogenic agencies of weathering, running water, flowing ice and meltwater, ground ice and frost, the wind, and the sea; landforms developed on limestone; and landscape evolution. Structure: difference and interaction of the Earth's interior structure of spheres. Hot issue: exploitation and utilization of natural resources, ecological environmental protection.
