Since the beginning of the 21st century, people have seen the strong growth trend and high industry-led ability of the modern service industry. Many countries and regions throughout the world treat the modern service industry as a pillar industry or forerunner industry of their national economy and society. This course not only introduce the basic theory and concept of modern service industry, but also illustrate the characteristics and practice of several typical industry of modern service industry, such as information technology, finance, logistics, hotel, tourism, MICE, consulting. The main contents of this course are as follows: the conceptual architecture of service industry and modern service industry, the origin, development and trend of modern service industry, the development and management of modern financial services, the development and management of modern logistics industry, the development and management of modern hotel industry and MICE industry, the development and management of information and consulting services, the development and management of modern cultural creative industry.
This course will help students to establish the consciousness of modern service industry system, understand the constitution of modern service industry, and master the related concepts and theories of modern service industry. Students will acquire the skill to concatenate modern service industry and other industries, and solve the problems they face. What's more, students' practical ability will be strengthened further through case teaching and team practice.
