2. Brief Course Introduction
Sight Interpretation is a skill-based compulsory course for the English majors, which is designed to offer an opportunity for the students to undergo systematic sight interpretation training in terms of understanding, analyzing, and delivering. The course also involves a lot of exercises concerning different topics and styles for the students to lay a solid foundation for consecutive and simultaneous interpretation. As a stepping stone towards consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, sight interpretation is also widely used in professional environment.
