2.Brief Course Introduction
French I is a compulsory course provided for sophomore English majors in the fourth semester. The focus of this course is French pronunciation and everyday spoken French. After studying the course, students are expected to have basic listening and speaking abilities. They should be able to spell and read words, sentences and hence short articles correctly in accordance with phonetic rules, to master common spoken expressions and make everyday conservations in French.
