2.Brief Course Introduction
This course is a specialized-skill compulsory course. It is a core course designed for English majors (Business Management and Business Translation) in the second term of freshmen period. This course aims to teach students in a systematic way the basic linguistic knowledge of phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, textual structure, etc. It targets to train students’ essential linguistic skills of listening comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension, writing and translation. Meanwhile, it endeavors to improve students’ communicative ability and train their logical thinking. Thus a solid foundation is laid for students’ second-year study.
