2.Brief Course Introduction
English Listening II is designed for English majors as a compulsory course in 2nd semester of freshmen year. This course integrates activities for both listening and speaking skills training. According to tactics for Listening from the aspect of Phonetics (stress, intonation tone of the voice and accents), Major listening exercises (note-taking, prediction, guessing the meaning from the context, and drawing inferences) and Oral work (questions and answers), students are expected to improve their listening and speaking skills to some extent.
