Wang Shaobin, born in 1973 in Shantou, Guangdong, is an associate professor and senior architect, working as a Doctor of Architecture. He is also a member of the China Arts Association, a member of the China Art Anthropology Society, a member of the Social Science Association of Guangdong University of Finance & Economics, as well as Vice-Dean and Department Head of Environment Design.
In regards to theoretical research he takes Sustainable urban environment design as his main research orientation. He has taken charge of 1 project of Guangdong 12th Five-year Plan for Humanities and Social Sciences and 1 important project for Foshan. He has participated in a number of provincial and municipal projects and taken charge of several projects of Architecture, Interior and landscape Design as well as publish 3 treatises Space Design, From Thinking to System Formation and so on. 16 papers were published in authority and core journals of Decoration, Arts Observation, Literature Contend and Literature Research;
In regards to design practice he has taken charge of a number of urban design, architecture design, landscape design and interior design projects, focusing on energy conservation and ecology, emphasizing a combination of internationally advanced concepts and regional characteristics. The projects were well received by the owners and many of them various won awards.
In regards to Arts Creation, he has taken human activities in nature and vanishing human landscape as creative themes in recent years, so as to recall the long lost visual spectacle and humanistic interpretation.
In regards to combining research and education with industry, he has put the results of scientific and theoretical research into practice by serving our local construction. He has also provided guidance to students and won a number of awards at provincial and departmental level.
