2. Course Introduction

Digital image processing is an optional course for undergraduate students majoring in computer science and technology. This course will introduce the mathematical and physical fundamentals of digital image processing, focus on the classical algorithms which are widely used in applications, including point operation, geometric operation, image enhancement and restoration technologies in the spatial domain and in the frequency domain, as well as image coding technologies.
