Tu Zhengming,born in Changde, Hunan in November 1957, has been full professor of School of Humanities and Communication in Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (GDUFE) since 2000, secretary of School of Humanities and Communication in the university since 2014, and vice president of Guangdong Sociological Association since 2011.
Professor Tu received his B.A. in Philosophy from Central South University (CSU) in 1982, M.A. in Philosophy from Central China Normal University in 1986, and Ph.D. from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2006.
He has been teaching graduate or undergraduate courses in CSU and GDUFE on Philosophy, Ethics, Ethic-sociology, Social Psychology, Journalistic Psychology, Communication Psychology, and Humanistic Photography. He also has been the principal investigator of three ministerial level projects, three provincial level projects, and a number of transverse programs sponsored by enterprises (in which overall research expenditure has reached over 0.5 million RMB), authored ten monographs including Ethic-sociology (1993), Deception in Social Communication (1997), The Spiritual Civilization of Universities (1998), College Students Behavior(1999), Humanistic Quality Education in Colleges(2010). He has also published over seventy research papers, including Discussions on Moral Migrating (1992), On the Value of Honesty (2006), Market, Games& Choices of an ‘Honest Economic Man’ (2007), and The Research Subjects, Methods and Values of Errancy Psychology (2009).
Professor Tu has respectively been awarded by Guangdong Provincial Party Committee in 1995 and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province in 2001.
