Shu Yijian, Associate Professor in communication, is the vice- Director of the department of Broadcasting and Television in the School of Humanities and Communication and a state-level Putonghua tester. She has a master degree in law from Liaoning University. Her main research interests are media culture especially television media culture and media criticism. She teaches “ Putonghua Pronunciation and Broadcasting Phonation”, “Principles of Communication Theory”, “Mass Media and Media Literacy” and other compulsory or optional courses. She has published more than ten theses on “Southern Cultural Forum”, “Press Circles”, “ Literary Criticism”, “News” and other core journals. She was in charge of one MOE(Ministry of Education in China) project of Humanities and Social Sciences— “ Media Culture and Regional Culture Identity of New Immigrants in the City—Taking the Pearl River Delta as An Example”, the Guangzhou Philosophy and Social Science Project---“ Guangzhou Media Culture and the Regional Culture Identity of the Immigrants” and one teaching research and reform project at the school level. She also participates in the compilation of the textbook “ The Pronunciation and Scientific Voice Training of Putonghua”
