Brief Course Introduction

When students have understood an ordinary psychological phenomenon and regularity of general psychology, Personality Psychology aims at helping them to have a systematical, deep and skillful master of personality phenomenon, personality formation mechanism, personality cultivation, personality evaluation, etc. This course will lay a firm foundation for their further study on psychological treatment, psychological consultation, psychological guidance and so forth, and exert comprehensive influence on studying development psychology, education psychology, social psychology and the like. Furthermore, the course will provide them with theoretical guidance on understanding the personalities of themselves and others as well as personality formation. And also, it can make theoretical and methodological preparation on observing personality problem, analyzing its cause, proceeding personality evaluation, making personality correction program, etc. This course requires students to master the systematic and theoretic knowledge of personality psychology, and can improve their competence on observing, judging, analyzing, understanding, and researching the problems of personality psychology. Based on this knowledge, students can analyze and evaluate various personality problems in real life and psychological education.
