News writing is one of the most important specialized courses of all majors in College of Journalism and Communications. This course introduces students to concepts, significance, normal patterns, essential requirements, topics, styles of diverse kinds of news writing. It aims to focus on developing and applying different writing skills required for each area of mass communication, such as writing for broadcast, print or new media covering a range of document types. It also prepares students to take up jobs as editors, journalists, public relations executives, etc.
