2. Course description
The course is a compulsory course for journalism and communication majors. It aims to teach students basic theory and knowledge of news editing, and also cultivate them to be news-sensitive and familiar with characteristics of news genres and writing requirements to acquire the basic skills of news editing.
The course includes news interview, news writing and news editing. The news interview part mainly discusses the general laws, features, principles, methods of news interviews and interviewing techniques under different circumstances. News writing part mainly teaches basic requirements of news reports and its main genres： news，news feature, figures and projects. News editing part mainly deals with newspaper design, selection and modification of newsletters, selecting titles, news collection, layout arrangement and electronic typesetting.
