2.Brief Course Introduction

   Practice of Western Journalism and Communication is compulsory and indispensable for undergraduates of Journalism. Under the guidance of task-based language teaching mode, this course will train students to practice listening, reading, speaking and writing with the latest news of western media, and to introduce traditional Chinese culture in professional English. As a result, students with good English proficiency can not only talk about Anglo-American social and cultural news fluently, but accumulate materials to internationalize traditional Chinese customs and cultures. This course primarily aims at introducing the related theories of western journalism and communication, and helps students to master its related skills for doing better in news report for foreign affairs. It mainly includes: listening, reading, speaking and writing practice about western press, and making a good use of various news materials published by western media.
