Sociology is the systematic study of social life and social transformation. This course introduces a holistic approach to an exploration of major areas, basic categories, elementary theories and research methods of sociology by associating with Chinese national conditions and latest research results of sociology. Students will obtain a better understanding of society as well as theoretical knowledge about the study of complex social phenomenon, which forms the base for a thorough understanding of the relationship between an individual and society.
