2. Brief Course Introduction
Anthropology course talks about the basic theories of anthropology, which includes the classic theory of revolution and theory of media in the late 19th century, the theory of social anthropology influenced by the social school in the 20th century and the structuralism, symbolic anthropology and interpretive anthropology. The curriculum will emphasize on Radcliffe-Brown and Geertz’s thought and their value to sociology. Anthropology inclines students to field survey and guide them to combine theory and practice in order to research contemporary social issues.
