2. Brief Course Introduction
This course intends to link theory with practice, apply students’ knowledge, present the training objectives of application-oriented talents in institutions of higher education, improve students’ abilities of social cognition, enhance their understanding of the society, make them grasp the social research method and improve their professional skills. Besides, it develops and trains students’ abilities to understand and observe the society as well as their abilities to analyze and solve problems, and make them fully understand the society. Under the instruction of teachers, students combine the training objectives and requirements of Chinese Language and Literature specialty, emphasize to exploit their professional advantages and strong points, by means of field survey or online investigation, purposefully and systematically collect, analyze and study relevant information and materials, get to know social phenomena and then write research reports.
