2. Brief Course Introduction:
This course is one of the basic courses for Chinese majors. It aims at imparting basic theories of composition to students, help them grasp the relevant principles, improving their writing skills through constant writing practice, making them master the basic writing skills of Chinese, recognize the writing methods of various styles, possess the basic writing capacity of university level and lay a solid foundation for the intermediate and advanced writing courses later. The content of this course mainly includes: the understanding of theories of writing rules, the development of the writing subject, the analysis and application of traditional writing skills as well as modern writing skills, the abilities to observe, think, read and feel which should be fostered in the writing process, the conception and arrangement of an essay in the writing stage and the modification after finishing writing.
