This course gives a systematic introduction to fundamental elements of audio-visual language including lens, composition, shots, axis, angle, motion, mise-en-scine, montage and sound. Analysis will be undertaken mainly on films and a range of examples to illustrate features of audio-visual language and application of every major element. This course is designed to enable students to acquire a correct understanding of main features and techniques of expression in television animation, as well as spark a deeper analysis of art forms.
