2. Brief Course Introduction
For students of Broadcasting & TV Directing major, Art of Dramatic Writing is a basic course of TV programs and short movie creation. As TV programs are perfecting in narration, this course is focused on the basic skills of screenwriting. Combining teaching and discussion, the course is set up to explore the process of story writing, requirements of outline, and elements like theme, drama structure, conflict, and suspense etc. It aims at improving students’ capacity in story writing and will assess students through usual performance and final examination.
