Mandarin and Broadcasting Vocalization Ⅰ is the basic course of the main major for the freshmen majored in broadcasting and anchoring, as well as serves as an enlightened course for developing qualified announcers and anchormen. The main content and objectives of this course is based on the following three points: First to solve the ‘hardware’ problems in the creation of broadcasting and anchoring, in other words, it is a problem of the standardization in vocalization; second, to equip students with a synthetically mastery of relevant knowledge in the voicing of Mandarin by teaching and targeted practical exercises, that will make them gradually realize and correct the problems in initial consonants, vowels, tones and phonetic changes of Mandarin speaking so as to speak Mandarin accurately, skillfully and normatively; third, to develop students build a right professional thought and notion, and meanwhile, assuring students acquaint themselves with synthetic and specialized methods for major learning and practice. This course aims at the training and improvement of specialized ability of students such as Mandarin pronunciation so as to enhance the specialized foundation for those engaged in broadcasting and anchoring.
