    2. Brief Course Introduction

Modern Schools of economics primarily introduces the theories and policies of modern schools of economics, the interrelation among these schools, the development and changes in them and their corresponding points of view. This course mainly introduces the following three aspects to the students: first, the theories of main economic schools, their policy statements, their research methods, their interrelations, their differences and development under the thought of nation interference among western mainstream economics, primarily including Keynes's economics, New-Classical-Synthesis, Post-Keynesian Economics, New-Keynesian Economics, etc. Second, it contains the theories of main economic schools, their policy statements, their study methods, their interrelations, their differences and their development, mainly including Modern Monetarism, New-Classical Macroeconomics, the Supply-side School, London School, New institutional economics, etc. Third, it contains the economic thought of some influential western non-mainstream economic schools including Neo-institutional economics, the School of Public Choice, Evolution economics, behavioral economics, etc.
