2. Brief Course Introduction

Macroeconomics is a core curriculum being an introduction to the whole national economy, by researching and analyzing determinants and changes of total variables in order to explain how the whole economy works and how the resources should be sufficiently allocated in the economy. Its central theory is of national income determination. Based on the analysis of national income determination, it arguments fiscal policy, monetary policy and their combination will affect national income by different ways; it provides theoretical and practical standards for government to apply flexibly macroeconomics policies. In addition, Macroeconomics further introduces unemployment, economic growth and economic cycle etc. The components of Macroeconomics are mainly composed of measurement of national income, economic fluctuation and economic growth, macroeconomic policies and so on.
