2. Brief Course Introduction

Development Economics is a new comprehensive and applied economics course in the economics system originated before the Second World War. It takes the economic growth and economic development of developing countries as the research object. Through the comparison of various development theories, strategies, economic systems and feasible measures, the course studies process and regularity of economic development in the less developed conditions. With the characteristics of vulgar economics, it still has considerable reference value for the analysis and research of developing countries. Since the 90's, development economics has been a new developing trend, the research content tends to be more specific, the research scope tends to be country-oriented, and the research methods integrate mainstream economics theories and methods more closely.
