The course “Business English I” is designed for students who major in International Trade and in International Business. The course is aimed at improving students' communicative skills, especially listening and speaking skills in the business environment, by both case studies and skill practice. The main contents altogether cover fourteen business topics: Brands, Travel, Organization, Change, Money, Advertising, Cultures, Employment, Trade, Quality, Ethics, Leadership, Innovation and Competition. In each unit, the students will be provided with practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through the study of this course, the students will have a good command of skills in business negotiations and cross-cultural business communication.
