2. Course Introduction

This course aims to make students understand the general theory of commercial bank's creation and development, its property and function, and its institutional and organizational structure, which includes asset and liabilities management theories and methods, capital operation and management, intermediary business, off-balance business, financial report and performance analysis etc.. This course draws lessons from domestic and international research result, adapts to the requirements of our market economy development and finance opening to the outside world, attaches importance to the fundamentals principles and general operation of commercial banks operation and management, adopts the method that integrates teaching theories with case studies. While systematically introducing the general theory and operation of the commercial bank's management, this course intimately combines the latest problems of the reform of our commercial banks with the aim of guiding students to probe into its reform and increasing the students' ability in making use of basic theories and Studying existing problems.
