2. Brief Course Introduction
The subject of Specific Theory and Practice of Financial Management deals with a specialistic analysis of financial management and discusses the specialistic principles and practical skills of financial strategy, M&A, derivative financial instruments, performance evaluation and incentive mechanisms. The first specialistic analysis includes the importance of financial strategy, types of financial strategies and decision made within a financial strategy. The second explains the theory of M&A, valuation of destination firms, takeovers and the defense of takeovers. The third interprets the pricing of derivative instruments and hedging. The last explores performance evaluation, incentive mechanisms and the relationship between them.
